Big, but elegant. Dark fruit, briar and field spice, hot-acidity, blood orange, dry tannins.

Dark fruit but has mellowed over the years or “softened “ definite tobacco and licorice hints and great earth tones but time to drink IMO!

16’ are finally softening, but still big dark fruit, but drinking more like Pinot now. black berries, dark cassis…. Big dark flavors that are slowly softening… still had many years IMO!

As expected, the Russian River is bolder and more concentrated than the Carneros. Both delicious, but I prefer Carneros.

Weekend in San Jose for the Queen concert!! Enjoying a pinot and the pool! Pop and pour (young...would of loved a few more years on the bottle). A fascinating dark ruby red. On the nose: red fruit, plum, vanilla, olives. Taste: bright red cherry, spice, herbs, some chocolate...nice concentration and finish with a little tannic kick.
