One of my favorite merlot wines ever. Last bottle, 10 years old. An amazing nose of a basket of berries in the sun at a picnic table in a redwood grove with freshly cut grass nearby. It smells divine. There’s also a baking spice berry pie element but acidity is prominent. Palate is just wonderful berry bramble and more baking spice, good tannin, a hint of dried fruit but this is tasting fresh still. What a wine!! Wish they didn’t make 47 different wines each year and focused on stuff like this.

This is phenomenal right now. Tons of light, bright red fruits, earth and herbs, stone, good acidity and tannin which are very mellow. So well balanced and light bodied for a merlot. Need to see if they still have some of these left.
