Upper Maipo Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

An aromatic-Cab lover's dream. Eucalyptus, tobacco, dark dark fruits, and well integrated oak. The palate matches, and the mouthfeel feels like any Napa Cab of high pedigree.

Very much channeling the right bank - deep mineral and menthol hewn fruit that's really quite pretty.

Great SA c/s, tight as can be still for an 08, lots of pepper, black fruits, tar. Livened up after some time open.

Surprisingly enjoyed this Cab from Chile

A good wine not too strong yet missing some years. Easy to drink since it is lacking the depth of a mature chilean wine

perfect Cab for a filet. Punches above its weight. $45 at Costco, drinks like Silver Oak or any of those big boys.

Too mineral

Tasted 6/4/18 at Garden By The Bay. Brought by Teresa Foo, a gift from Philip Ng who bought the entire 2005 vintage.
It has a very strong Bordeaux flavour, right bank flavour

A fantastic cab I had over the weekend. Incredibly tight and closed up at first. After 45mins. or so, it really opened up. Big pruny fruit, a slight hint of mint, dried tobacco leaves, and some fresh leather. Paired excellently with steak.

Surprisingly good, but also advanced. Leather and tobacco and some pruny fruit. Would have guessed a riper old Bordeaux
