Slightly more lively and energetic than the 2010 vintage offering aromas of ripe dark cherries, blackberries, plums, lavender, licorice, torrefact soil notes, incense, and sweet spices, and a decadent yet well integrated lactic note. A full bodied red with delicious dark fruit flavors on entry followed by a refreshing balsamic midpalate full of orange peel, licorice, and a cool chalky mineral note that continues on to the long lasting finish with chewy yet highly polished tannins. So elegant yet so rustic at the same time, this just gets better and better.
