Star bright yellow. Mineral and Granny Smith apple on the luxurious nose. Firm, stony acidity leads the palate which echoes the nose adding orange rind and bumping up the acidity. Finish is medium long and continues the palate. A fine GG that's Rheingau all the way. Take it anywhere from traditional German fare (brats, kraut, and potatoes here) to classic American Thanksgiving. Drink now through 2030.

Star bright tannish gold. Surprisingly abundant nose of Royal Gala apples with a hint of flint. Still too young fir the flint to dominate, but it’s there. Medium light, layered palate echoes the nose wrapped around firm mouthwatering acidity and leading into a lengthy stony almost saline finish. German dry Riesling has come a long way since the turn of the century and this GG representative of the renowned 2017 vintage makes the case grandly. An excellent VDP authorized (look for the eagle) Riesling that will compliment a wonderful range of foods. Asian cuisine (non-spicy) or Euro-American pork dishes are naturals. Drink now through 2032 or so when the flint has taken the lead.

Very very good. I mean, like, really good. In case you don't remember: this wine is freaking terrific.
