Le Dix de Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah

Cabernet with a bit of Syrah added, deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and blackberry with cedar, cacao and pepper spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cedar, cacao and mineral spice character. Good now but wait a few years.

Little coffee, a little green tomato plant, and some plum. A really solid Cabernet.

Blinded & no WAY this was chile. Proof I still know nothing ;) great minerality & complex layers of earthy flavor.

Visual: ruby core rose rim, med+ legs

Nose: blkberry, gamey, pepper, cedar, youthful, juniper,

Palate: dry, eucalyptus, soy, juniper, blue berry, long length, balanced, medium+ tannins

Food pairings: seared lamb, venison

This wine unfortunately was placed in the wrong spot in the line up. Too many quality heavy hitters surrounded it. This is a medium bodied wine with light mouth watering red fruit and heavy tannin.

Powerful. Deep garnet w purple hue. Cassis, black fruits and cedar, vanilla. Not vegetal, not so complex but concentrated. Dry (slightly sweet from aroma), mid acidity, dense but smooth tannin. Abv14.5%

Stewed dark fruits with leather and tobacco nuances.

French wine style and typical cab. Nice and comfortable.

2012. For a moment we thought it was corked(after trying a huge fruit bomb); quickly realized that it was a PROFOUND stoney minerality and earthiness. This is seriously Bordeaux from Chile
