Mid Gold in colour with a touch of bronze - crystal clear. Faint notes of paraffin with a little citrus rind and grapefruit. On the palate citrus, honey and a hint of cumquat - definite minerality with medium acidity. A fulsome palate but finishes dry - 13.5% ABV. The following day notes of quince on the palate. A delicious old Alsatian Riesling showing the complexity you would expect from a Grand Cru. One of the 1001 Wines.

Bouquet of lemon, tangerine pith, apple blossom, pebbles, cooking grease on a hot grill, notes of lemon candy appear after being open for a while. Palate of fresh orange, lemon zest, ginger and hint of white pepper spice with a nice medium-long finish. Just lovely
