Apr 3rd, 2019It was in amazingly solid shape for a 33-year-old AC Gewurtz. Good light yellow color, super dry, and lots of spicy floral delicate flavors and more at room temp. Bravo.

Today we STARTED with it AND paired with Chinese food, and it was a totally different experience. On it's own I still get those peroxide/cold cream notes, but the salty food seems to mask that.

Nice lychee, spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a real mineral driven finish. Excellent wine, I actually think it could use a touch of sugar to bring out the fruit if I were a perfectionist, but a damn fine wine.
