Les Forêts Vieilles Vignes Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Rocky and chalky with green apple, pear, barrel spices and some tropical notes

This 1er Cru is bottled on the property, which was founded in 1870. Pale lemon with fresh fruit aromas of stone and citrus fruits with wafts of mineral notes, aged for 12 months on oak. On the palate flavors of clean apple and pear, nice acidity, good balance on long finish ending with rich bright mineral character. Nice!

Delicious. Light clear yellow color. Bright. Lemongrass and wet stone. Tastes like sunshine and wants for oysters. It says Les Forets but it makes me see rolling hills and sun. I’d like to visit if they’d have me to Chablis. 👍

Nose of magnolia and lemon pith. Wet stones and a little almond on the finish as it opens. Lovely start to the evening

MB doesn't like Chablis. Otherwise this amazing, austere Chardonnay knocks my socks off.

Drank it too cold 😢 could use another 4-7 years in the cellar
