Killer nose. What aromas! Raspberry, black cherry, dense, layered, thick coulis fruit but fresh and mineral, limestone, etc. Stunning. Lipstick like intensity. Palate is deep and structured and more closed than the wide open nose, but it’s all there. Balanced, juicy and so clean. Amazing, dense and thick fruit, pure, sappy, such vivid details. Ripe and substantial but very high quality tannins. No hard edges. So fresh, mineral and energetic. Long. Wonderful spices. Beautiful hit of opulence on the mid palate. This will last 20+ years. Epic. First year they have the VV on the label.

Opening up slowly. Balanced. Lacks finesse. But entertaining. Charming on second day

Last had a bit under a year ago. The fruit is very nice. Lots of cherry on the nose - when I first opened, bordering on cough syrupy- but with air evened out. Still lacking some acid and depth on the finish for this to be higher. Good pairing with chicken thighs in a tarragon shallot sauce.

Lovely Burgundy perfect for shareable French dishes: beef carpaccio, octopus, truffle pâtes, and magnet de canard. Cheers.

Wonderful red fruit. Slightly less acid and depth than I was hoping, but the purity of the fruit and the overall mouthfeel keeps this pretty good.

Black cherry that is not quite ripe with a flinty back note with just a tiny twist of citrus peel.
