Much more primary than the 2012. Exceptional fruit quality. Some funky. Like 1% Brett. Gorgeous purity. Mint, spice, menthol. Floral. Big cherries. Leafy and stony as well. Enormous concentration and purity but young grippy slate like tannins that need a few more years to settle. The raw materials here are breathtaking. Chewy, dense, powerful yet also graceful and hella long. Really long. Very very impressive.

Sep 21st, 2018Lovely nose. Roses, licorice, pastille style fruit. Compact, mineral, cotton candy, really confectionary and packed. Terrific. Age has made this blossom. Palate is very concentrated and deep with terrific purity and freshness. Red fruits all the way with excellent acidity and tremendous depth. Really packs a punch and has densely fruited mineral twinged goodness for what seems like minutes. Brilliant showing.

Sep 21st, 2018Ledy’s regionals are staring to sing in 2012. Gorgeous nose of red cherries, licorice and some darker black cherries. Meaty. Minerally. Earthy. Substantial nose. Palate is rich and voluminous with sweet sappy fruit, terrific freshness and acidity and sneaky persistence. Lovely depth. A great wine.

May 30th, 2018Drinking beautifully now. Nose of red cherries, spice, mint, gravelly, Stoney, deep, with a palate that is rich with great acids. Sweet fruit and lovely balance. So juicy and integrated. Ledy needs so much time. But is worth it. Stunning showing and my last bottle.

Had this a few weeks ago and forgot to rate. Wine still young, but showed better after 4 hrs of air. Light and balanced, with good structure. Will try next btl in a couple of years. No rush here imo.

Wow. Just wow. This is hcdn and not crazy complex. But it is perfect for what it is. Sweet fruit. Licorice. Fresh. Just great with lamb and arcimboldo. Bought from Fass selections.

Deep, earthy and spicey nose with lively acids and terrific grippy texture. Love this wine. Deep fruit and fresh but needs tons of air. It will come around. Revisit in a few hours.
