Cardamom! He must have used stems. Lacks elegance. A good wine but one could have done better with the fruit of the stellar 2005 vintage. Needs air to mellow out and open up. Hint of bitter. Cherries. Reminds me of bitter chocolate just a touch.

Drinking so well, This is probably my favourite GC amongst what little I've tasted. Punching above its weight amongst a night of grand crus. Nose of berries and spice with hints of mushroom. Ripe fruits on the palate with a good balance and tasty long finish.
