Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Pinot Noir

This is 80 Pinot blanc and 20 Chardonnay.

80% Pinot Blanc, 20% Chardonnay.

Great intensity and freshness from the Pinot Blanc.
I doubt it is going to make old bones but it is drinking beautifully right now (6/2016).

Light garnet color with a small ruby core. Aromas of wet soil, red berries and dried rose petals. Flavors of raspberries, red currants, mushrooms and savory spices. Long lasting finish. Gripping acidity with very silky tannins. Light bodied and quite savory but still full of finesse. Needs a bit of aeration to fully open up. Solid value and nice mid-week option. Rough and harsh, too young to drink, but unlikely to improve much.

Ideal Burgundy. Notes of wet forest floor. Intricate and complex. Heavy terroir.

Le nez mêle hydrocarbures et fumé. En bouche, l'attaque est acide puis le côté un peu boisé arrondit le tout. On y trouve des arômes citronnés et vanillés. La fin de bouche est longue et rappelle les saveurs citronnées. Ce vin est bien équilibré entre vivacité et rondeur en bouche et dégagent des arômes très intéressants au nez. J'adore ce vin !
