A legendary wine that I was finally able to get a couple of bottles of. Not sure how to describe this wine. Looks like a Rosé but is a unique mutation. A little tannic, a little savory and both red and white fruit.

Lime, hibiscus, pink salt. NYE treat to taste this novel and rare (2 barrels / vintage) bottle of the chardonnay rose, a pinkish purple skinned mutation found in Marsannay. That said, didn’t strike us as a fussy or arcane wine, though. Delicious and quaffable, unmistakably chard… my last sips reminded me a bit of margarita!
