2013. Not much has changed, at all, since my last note a bit more than a year ago. Open a day, this is still big, inky dark and concentrated, with complex aromas and flavors. Still delightful. Still a treat. GSM. 70-20-10. 14.5 abv. $24.99

A superb GSM. If you look up either "delightful" or "treat" in the dictionary there's a good chance you'll see this picture again. 14.5% abv. $28.99

Big red body. Which leads you to big spices of lavender, Rosemary, sage. 70% blend of Grenache 13% Syrah 12% Mourvèdre and 5%cinsault. Dense purple plums and darn cherries.

There are 3 premier Appalachians in rhone. Gigondas, vacqueyras, chateanueuf du pope (the last being the supreme). The story goes that the two keys on the crest of the chateauneuf wine were sealed and punishable by death if you were to drink it if you were not the pope.
