Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

This is outrageous. Huge, complex nose that is like a seashell maelstrom whipping on a beach. So Chablis. Deep green apple and just stunning aromatic clarity. The class of Les Clos really is remarkable here. 9.8 nose. The palate is just brilliantly etched. Remarkable purity, salinity and such finesse: Just a smile but with one tear. Grippy and textured. And my goodness this is long. Eternal.

Rich with bracing minerality.

Alcohol was a little noticeable but held up ok. Like drinking old baked apples.

Delicious with halibut tonight. More fruit and less chalky than expected for Les Clos, perhaps due to the warm vintage?

N: lovely grassiness. Floral depth as it opens.

P: the richness of great viognier combined with the minerality of great chablis. Amazingly delicious. A joy to drink. Amazing silky texture. Very dense. Viscous. Rich.

Getting prepped to go out for another gem - Boka. Delicious start to our evening. Wine not mature yet but 14s rock and this one really shines. Vigneron Domaine Servin
