Vieilles Vignes Chablis Chardonnay

2013 Vintage. Clear, bright pale gold with just a hint of green. Very clean on the nose with crisp citrus and classic don't notes backed with about of green apple. Medium weight, pleasant medium acidity - a lovely pure expression of Chardonnay.

Muted nose. Notes of citrus and pear on the palate. Nice acidity. Still young. May develop more.

Showing very well, citrus, minerals...beautiful pairing with homemade white clam sauce...

Chablis Grand Cru lunch #purechablis

New vintage… Been tasting this wine several vintages; consistent option. Dry, with citrus notes and a hint of oak. Wine would benefit from aging.

This didn’t taste like Chablis. More like a Côte de Beaune white. For my palate this had a bit too much lees contact as it has hints of bitter on the finish.

Chardonnay in its purest form and I can almost taste the seashells too. Cheers.

Served this ice cold to light straw color. The nose is light and clean with wet stone and only hints of citrus. The palate is clean as well and dry with high acidity, medium alcohol, light body, intense lemon flavors, and a medium finish. This wine has length and intensity, I would say it’s a good wine and would pair it with some shrimp ceviche.

Interesting wine. This has a leesy note to it as you would find in many Champagnes. Seashell, minerally.
