Ile des Vergelesses Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Pinot Noir

There is such a potent spice to this lovely, yet a cedar-like underbelly. It feels like clove-studded orange pomanders complete with the acid of orange contrasted with a black cherry pie ripeness. A conundrum that keeps you sipping.

This was eventually overshadowed a bit but it's a fantastic QPR wine, and a dependable option for classic elegance in a red Burgundy. I'm 4/4 with Rollin lifetime. Hopefully Manny Machado has those numbers at the plate tonight! (Burg 2/6)
