The first of 5 Grand Crus from Chambolle Musigny Vougeot and Flagey Echezeaux. Spicy red fruits with some stemmy influence. Wood in evidence as well as tannin. High toned. GC quality. Very good. Needs time.

Jan 26th, 2020Past its peak, but we could learn a lot on tertiary notes on the nose here
Fruit almost completely faded, but from rose to incense, boiled chestnuts, tobacco, various spices; these were all well presented.
It lacked the enjoyment, got a little oxidised after a while in the glass too.
Altogether though a good experience for learning
3rd meeting of the Burgundy Course

Mar 6th, 2019The 2nd of 6 Grand Crus from Flagey-Echezeaux and Vougeot. Good intensity, concentration and mid palate power. Liked this - after all it is Echezeaux with much more to give.
