It is hard to ask for more from a current release red wine. The Ramonet was perfect after an hour in the decanter and worked with poulet frites like the best teams do- more than the sum of the parts. The wine has crunchy red cherry fruit that rarely accompanies texture... So good!

Delicious! Nice intersection of fruit and tobacco. A great buy at $33, wish I had more for another year!

This was simply stunning. Hard to explain. Just was the perfect moment for this and seriously overperformed.

First time tasting. Good balance, no sign of green, light body, dried cherry.

A beauty but not quite as sexy as the 1er cru Clos St. Jean. The nose is bursting with red berry fruit, crisp with a hint of minerality. A nice segue into the W&S. Had this NYE with M. And family.

Sweet cherry and berry flavors, accented by spice. Intense acidity, will age well and needs to soften.

My first post on this app. Sadly this bottling represents what turns people off to Burgundy. Weak, insipid wine of no consequence for $50. There is an ocean of killer $50 bottles of wine from around the world. Never better time in wine history if you have $50 to spend. This is would represent a poor decision. Burgundy beware! Your top bottlings will change people's lives, but this kind of offering will kill the golden egg. Hopefully future posts will be more inspired.
