Côte du Py Morgon Gamay Noir

Initially tart attack but came around to juicy mid-palate. Strawberry, red cherry and cotton candy with backdrop of dry herbs.

Last tasted one year ago and rated it 8.8. Found this one slightly better with bubble gum, strawberry, candied cherry a slight peppery finish.

Perfect expression of cru Beaujolais!

Funk on opening blew off, some cherry, good acidity. Good deal.

Not my favorite Morgan. This is the Tradition bottling. Tart red fruit and not much else. May have drunk too young.

Dark cherry, good tannins nice finish

Great QPR at $18. Nose of tart black fruits, a little green edge, bay leaf, something floral - maybe dried flowers, dried leaves. Bright but dark fruits registering as a little lemon around tart black plum and plum skin. Also some unsweetened cranberry. Some decent tannic structure. Somewhat austere but good overall. Wouldn't hold more than 2 yrs I don't think

Maybe an off bottle. 2013 vintage, sharp and too much barnyard.
