Sipping Fine Wine

Jean-Claude Pichot’s family is one of the oldest in Vouvray, with origins dating back to 1739. 100% Chenin Blanc, with aromas of fresh tropical fruits and honey nuts. On the palate pineapple and melon with lime citrus, lively acidity, good balance with a touch of sweetness on the medium finish. Went well with chops drizzled in a balsamic glaze.

Beautiful wine. Off-dry. Great floral aromatics- and bursting with honey, lemons and ginger. Sweetness and acidity feel very balanced in this vintage. Slightly rounded mouthfeel. Hints of petrol on the 2nd night. This has a lot going on for entry-level Vouvray. Simply a very good, inexpensive Chenin that I would recommend easily and would love to pair with sushi.

For $15, this was killer! Spicy, floral, and stone fruit.

Super spicy on the nose; mustard flower, beeswax, and pickled ginger. Dried honey and botrytisy flavors on the palate with all that classic oxi-Apple fruit.

Oh Chenin Blanc how I love thee! This Vouvray reveals a hint of sweetness and lovely orchard fruits with just the right amount of acidity. Delicious right now, I am sure this wine will age gracefully for years. This bottle will be lucky to make it for another hour!
