2002's drinking so well. Berry, dusty earth, floral nose. Sappy, dense with lovely sweet fruit and very intense. With air this really gets a lacey texture. Incredible. Better than 2001. And 2001 is incredibly good.

Am I close to Beaune. ?
La Dominode received more sun light than the neighbor vineyards.
Earthy, violet, sandalwood and raspberry on the nose....
Creamy, herbal and bright acidity on the palate.
Very similar to willamette valley yet more elegant and refine. (13% ABV)

French back label with no US importation designation; consigned from private cellar; exquisite perfume upon opening-poof!; still not completely open although substantial depth was evident; some drying tannins on finish which made wonder regarding transport and/or storage....?

Rich, dark, and sappy. Very good, but not very burgundian.

Practically perfect in every way. An almost Gevery-like minerality. RIP JJH 💔 so glad we got to drink this together.
