Aux Guettes Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Gorgeous. Amazing deep dark red cherries and such brilliant clarity. Earthy and herbal with classic SLB depth. Feels and smells more concentrated and a wine from a “great” vintage. Licorice and cherry flower abound. Palate is bright and grapey with lovely mid season cherries. Sappy and dense. But also elegant and ethereal. Young and very long. Nose has a lovely leafiness to it. So expansive. Terrific acid, freshness and concentration. Lovey delineation and a profound compact quality. Outstanding.

2015 Vintage - cherry /berry ,saddle leather , earthy , subtle oak , subtle violet

Typical Beaune earthiness, some bret but not bad.

Not all 2004s are created equal. This one was singin' with old leather and that unmistakable Burgundy charm of sous bois and juicy dried fruits.

Forward red fruits and earth followed by rustic minerality. Showing well right now

Finally (Day 5). One for the cellar and not for the fruit chasers.

Nice mineral-fruit balance with good complexity and depth. Lots of graphite and bright fruit. Great value.

Dark cherries, cranberries, strawberries, hint of plum & blackberry, touch of smoke, black earth, minerals. Lean on the plate and a little flat on the finish.

Crunchy red fruits/supple, rich, accessible/flavorful, red raspberry, sweet spices, mandarin orange/long finish
