Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2023 1er Chalumaux pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart orchard and tropical fruit: yellow apple, white peach, orange Cuties®️, pineapple, starfruit, lemon curd, white flowers, slivered almonds, and river rock. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and laden with minerals. Lovely balance. Classic. Drink now through 2043.

Honey, pear, Meyer lemon. Taught structure concerning hints of butterscotch. At this point it drinks great but worried about its future.

The stone fruits here are a tad sweet, but tasty and easy to drink.

GL Burg Pernot tasting 2/8/17. But more notes of lemon and citrus than Folatieres. Yum.
