Light gold. Heavy in the glass. Aromatic nose of honeysuckle, lemongrass, straw, light apricot, petrol and white stone. Rich with great glycerol mouth feel. Coats the mouth. Great finish. Drinking very well right now.

Jan 8th, 2017Medium gold color, as dark as the 99 Coche next to it. Odd nose. Notes of apple cider, kiwi, grapefruit, and some earth. Can’t say this is over the hill or premox given it’s got massive acidity and notes that suggest it’s fruits’ development is progressing but not done. Having said that, there is something just off with this bottle.

Their ripe style was balanced with a healthy amount of acid this vintage. Weighty, and already hinting at oxidation. Neither tropical or grassy, but the mineral/phenolic side of Sauvignon Blanc that I prefer.

Ex-domaine, 100% botrytized grapes. Very good but not great bottle. Disjointed at first, but started to sing after decanting.
