Palate falls flat with unresolved CO2 on palate, so poor transport temp, storage or unfiltered baddies getting ahead of this wine.

Nose needs air to strut, but then shows dark hard cherry candy and tons of crushed granite. Also some nice baking spice. Lean but intense in the mouth, showing an extracted character with plentiful tannin and some bitterness in the finish. Great with food (Szechuan chicken) but a little challenging on its own.
