Pommard 1er Cru Les Argillieres Pinot Noir

Just brilliant - in 10 years the wine will be even better than the 2005s we all love so much - Across from Grands Epenots. Not a very deep soil. 40% wc and 45% new oak – about 21-22 days maceration for these 1ers.
Deep deep color here. Crazy structure and balance - refined and elegant tannins after a 90 minute decant - modest but pretty- wonderful texture that implies weight without over-delivering. Super depth of mid-palate - Mouth-watering finish

Mild on the fruit, heavy on the minerality. A very good wine for a variety of meals

Red berries with a hint of gamey meat - nice minerality finish.

Cherry red, God projection with hints of smoke and red berry on the nose. A bit of dried orange peel in the back. More acidity than expected - quite vibrant and steely. Long finish. Medium tannin and body

Wet leaves, sea air, hint of camp fire and lots red fruit on the nose. Earth, plum, light smoke on the palette.

Way more fruit showing and even some citrus like the spray from a fresh peeled orange. Ground cinnamon and I digging this one in a big way
