Very earthy with notes of wet stone, oak, and barnyard funk to it. On the palate, dark fruit, spice, tobacco, mocha, and fresh ground coffee. High alcohol at 14.5% which is easily noted by the strong tearing on the glass. Not one of my favorites, but at $11 it really is not a bad bottle for the price.....much more reasonable than a Chateauneuf du pape.

Nice, fruity everyday drinker. Not a whole lot of complexity but absolutely zero to complain about.
