Ostertag's only Haut-Rhin exploitation, which he does not own(at least when visiting a handful of years ago) and has long term contract. Salty and savory from some oxidation similar to Savignin sous-voile. Good minerality. Needed a lot of air to become more expressive.

This is a special bottling from Domaine Ostertag Clos Mathis riesling 2011. They very rarely release. It's from a parcel owned by André's viticulturist and in 2011 made in atypically oxidative style as the vintage and wine dictated. Tasted in situ
