Vintage 2008 | how old is this wine, I asked my not completely inexperienced wife… she smelled, looked at the colour and said: 8 years. But as we know Chenin Blanc can age effortless for many years. Looking at the colour does not say much. This Savennieres is fourteen years old. In excellent condition, crisp and vivid. Multi layered smell with hay, impressions of citrus, mango, stone fruit, minerals. Very refined bitters and great balance. True to type. Lovely. Paired with dim sum and stir-fried Asian vegetables.
