The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru, like the 2019, has the most expressive bouquet of fruité, crushed strawberry, morello cherries and cranberry; rose petal and light briny aromas emerge with time. After just returning from a week at La Paulee & tasting so many great 20’s they are very impressive maybe a touch more with the whites. This had ample red fruits almost rich & sappy but not overripe showing a strong mineral core with beautiful spice. The best vintage of this wine I have tried.
