1 person found it helpfulJan 15th, 2019Soft medium purple. Light wet grass/damp towel, sweet acetate and cherry leather nose. Solid even tannin structure. Rare beef and black pepper. Pretty good, breathe for 30 and keep for 2-5. Blackcurrant come through after breathing and tannins mellow nicely.

100% Syrah. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of dark fruit, smoke and a bit of barnyard funk. (Blows off quickly) Ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit on the palate with notes of mint, baking spices and wood. Beautiful long and earthy finish. Smokey tannins. Quite fruit forward and full bodied, but with a very soft texture. Well balanced. Very pleasant.

Second tasting more in line with what you can expect from a Crozes. Pretty grape wine medium depth but beautiful delicacy on the typical notes of syrah. Charming nose, soft mouth. Great drinkability.
Deuxième dégustation plus conforme à ce qu’on peut attendre d’un Crozes. Jolie vin de cépage profondeur moyenne mais belle gourmandise sur les notes typiques de la syrah. Nez charmeur, bouche souple. Grande buvabilité.

A charming, juicy and greedy Crozes. Red fruits, violet, dry, semi-light body, marked minerality markers. No smoked taste or charcoal; blindly I could have believed a Cabernet-Franc de Loire a little natural. Easy to drink.
