Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Starts with a sharp acidity… smoothed out… final day three was nice.

Tending toward brick red. Kalamata olive tapenade with fresh portobello, apple butter and jammy plum with cinnamon and nutmeg, light mint, schists and violet back notes in the bouquet. Lighter mouthfeel. Charred cherry wood, peppery plum, and black cherry with cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Silky tannins on the spicy finish. Stolid, borderline austere, yet compellingly tangled; like ancient farmlands turned feral by the snaky meanderings of a slowly twisting river, ignorant of time! Do the primal crawl!

Easy drinking red with a hint of spice

Deep, dark, black fruit. Very lively and tannic but still needs some time.

Flavors of raspberry and blackberry. Smooth tannins, light to medium body. Went very well with burger. Bought at Riverdale Vintner. $21.

Fruit forward flavors, a little spicy, medium body. Easy to drink. Tannins are not too strong. $19.99. Bought at Riverdale Vintner.
