Old style…lacked focus

Wet burning leaves. Yum.

Prevalent oak and light new world character

Savory, smokey, tar, cinnamon, brine, red fruits.

Prime. Confirmation that this is a great, great producer

Really nice wine. Silky. Great freshness.

Lovely nose of blueberry, boysenberry, clove, pepper, oak, and loamy, forrest floor.

Palate continues with much of the same. Acidity is still nice and bright, but the tannins are soft and velvety. Oak notes are still there but are so well integrated and just lend to the complexity.

Beautiful wine in a beautiful place in its evolution. Lovely to just sip and contemplate.

Beautiful grand cru. Balanced. Good fruit with acid and silky tannins. Long finish
