Santenots Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Hard to believe Meursault can get much better. Broad and rich on the palate. Beautiful use of Malo gives this the right amount of heft. Out of mag !

Impeccably balanced. Richly toned yet chiseled citrus with waxed texture and drying flower. Perfect aged position with almond and slight butterscotch. Drink up.

Exceptional expression of a rare white from Volnay. So balanced and true to the place it comes from. Hits all the right points fruit, not overly extracted, oak, perfect, minerals abound...acid is so faint yet picks up momentum on the back side. Seek this wine out.

Disappointing. Aromatics bridled by reduction. Maybe will lay down nicely but not in a good spot today

Drank three of these over the course of two weeks...great value and drinks well above its price point.

Super fat and rich. Loaded with butter notes and well balanced oak. A Limestone vein throughout keeps it interesting. Skipping the chenin the next time drawn butter is on the menu
