110-year old vines. More mid-palate depth than many 21 Bojos I’ve had. Fantastic nose blasts out crunchy ripe dark cherry fruit and pungent deep-toned rock dust. A nice red floral/red licorice note too. Deep flavors are ripped with acids, leading to a crisp, almost austere-feeling, minerally finish. Finish is a tad clipped, but still really nice.

On an off chance went for this Fleurie from Barnhill, paired perfectly with roast pork, cherries, and berries with a good structure, made for a special 52 inlaws wedding anniversary!

Pale ruby. Nose: medium intensity, fresh and crisp red fruit (cranberry, raspberry), pungent spice (pepper), herbaceous (leafy, green pepper). Slight toast, hint of clove (possibly older oak barrels). No tertiary. Palate: dry, med + acidity, med - body, med alcohol, med - tannin. Med + finish.

Bright red fruit, tastes actually like a Beauj rather than the moulin a vent we had yesterday. Has some of that stemmyness in the middle that I love. Starts big fruit then follows with the stems or an earthy ness and a green note. I almost get a herb note at the very end that is slight. Charming I like it but at the price point there are others I might like more. Grab it tho. Need to try more fleurie.
