Last bottle of this. Nose is full of granite- and iron-rich dry gravel. Dark, ripe, smoky berry ooze too. The flavors are dark and low-toned, but it’s surprisingly soft for a Tannat, with a finish that ends quite lean, and crisp acids. Really nice. Nice dinner companion.

Love this wine. Only vintage. A shame. 100% Tannat. Big, dark fruits on the nose. Some nice granite as well. Juicy, complex and softened up a bit since last time with lovely vivid and pure fruit and good freshness. Juicy and such a hedonistic bomb.

This wine is a revelation. It's Tannat, but not from Madiran. The Northern Rhone. And it's not scorchy and tannic as hell, but minerally, relatively soft, and with great buoyant acids. If you had told me this was a Moulin a Vent, I would have believed you. And I would have told you this was one of the liveliest ones I'd had. Really unique.

100% tannat. Stupid good. Only Tannat in Rhone. Deep and manage tannins and exquisite fruit. Brilliant. Sick value.

Maybe there aren’t any bottles floating around anymore, but I got lucky and snagged one. This is super juicy Tannat, which is not something I ever thought I’d say or hear. Dried cherries, super ripe plums, some underripe blueberry, a bit of funk on the nose. Graphite and leather too. There’s still great acidity which makes this gulpable. it’s an interesting wine, this mixture of dried fruits but bright and juicy acidity feels like it should be two different wines, but it’s not in any way disjointed or threadbare. It’s just got serious backbone, and long tannins. Like a northern Rhône Syrah without the floral aspects. It’s slightly meaty and spicy when first opened. The empty glass is restrained but all violet. I wish I could’ve had this a couple of years ago but it’s still really lifted yet soft tonight.

Terrific wine. Tannat? Are u kidding? I didn’t think tannat could get this soft and fruity.

A feast in a bottle. The best word my wife and I could come up with for the nose was "meaty." As in bacon, or lamb, or blood sausage. The wine is opaque, inky dark red. Delicious and rich flavor with a little sour cherry in the mix. Very smooth tannin and aromatic finish. Bon apetit!
