Woah! Power, toast, electricity. Oxidized but in that good Leroy way.

It needed about an hour before it came around and then it was awesome.

1973 - rich melted butter on the nose, the unmistakable richness of hazelnut. Fresh structured finish. Another fantastic bottle!

2008 vintage. Pale gold hue. Wonderful stone fruit aroma, wet rock minerality and slight hints of vanilla pod. On the palate, gorgeous textural wine. Medium alcohol. Medium plus body. Medium plus acidity. Superb mid palate. Some nutty notes, Creme Fraiche, more vanilla pod and peach nectar. Lovely depth and concentration. Still young but developing complexity especially with air. Minerality is more evident with air. Long lingering finish that is so classy. Extreme balance. Nothing dominates. Superb effort.
