Nov 5th, 2015Beautiful nose of dried leaves, mushroom, roses with a hint of burnt sugar. Still has fruit with touches of fresh and dried red cherry, red currant and wild strawberry. Lovely texture that shows bright acidity and velvety tannins. Earthy with mineral and dried red fruit flavors. This was a treat.

Aug 21st, 2017Corton--a great Maison Leroy showing secondary and tertiary notes, truffle and sous bois, very balanced, clean, long. Probably at peak but in no danger of decline, this shows why Corton is grand cru--it just needs decades to prove itself.
