corton- soft rose petals, plums, dark cherry. So resolved and delicious. Hard to believe the age of this from the palate. Pretty. Extraordinary

This is so soft and pretty on the nose. Raspberry, strawberry. hints of cola. On the palate really delicious and gorgeous… long. Kinda haunting.

Beautiful nose of dried leaves, mushroom, roses with a hint of burnt sugar. Still has fruit with touches of fresh and dried red cherry, red currant and wild strawberry. Lovely texture that shows bright acidity and velvety tannins. Earthy with mineral and dried red fruit flavors. This was a treat.

Corton--a great Maison Leroy showing secondary and tertiary notes, truffle and sous bois, very balanced, clean, long. Probably at peak but in no danger of decline, this shows why Corton is grand cru--it just needs decades to prove itself.
