Struck match and lemon. Bright and vital. Gorgeously intense with a succulent midpalate and a long finish. A great bottle.

Visceral and punchy. Bright lemon, struck matches, oyster shells. Thrilling acidity and great fruit. Young but gorgeous

Flint, white flowers, minerals, salinity. Focussed and precise with really great structure and balancing acidity. Another great recent Leflaive tonight… victory! This is really good. A little less shower then the 09 Bastard alongside but really classy stuff. Excellent

Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Matchstick nose. Notes of apricot, citrus, white stone/limestone, petrol, tan spice. Massive acidity in the mouth, matched by a ton of fruit and structure. This evolved all night, getting better and better. Guessed 99 Leflaive Batard. 96+

Medium gold in color, slightly darker than the 86 Bonneau du Martray next to it. Heavy in the glass. Sweet floral nose. Notes of sweet kiwi fruit, lemon curd, apple cider and white acacia flowers. Lacked acidity at first but with many hours of air this powered up. Last sip was the best. I preferred the other whites to this, but was happy to see this improve so much during the evening. We discussed this being Vincent Leflaive’s last vintage, and sadly this was the last bottle in my cellar of 86 Leflaive. (Bday 4 of 12)

Light gold with a petrol and stone dominated nose... Bright fruit, with citrus, pear and kiwi notes. Floral with white acacia notes too. Incredible power and impact in the mouth. Long finish. Still very youthful. I guessed Coche. A rock star wine just starting out on its tour!

Tasted blind. Medium gold. Heavy in the glass. Tropical nose. Notes of citrus, pear, gravel stone, honey, some mint. Lots of power and silky richness in the mouth. Had a lemon creme thing build up in the nose over the evening that is very enticing. Long finish. Guessed 90 Ramonet BBM.

Dark gold in color with a deep nose with honeyed fruit and a hint of mint on the end. A lovely oily mouthfeel. Some spice, confit lemon, orange, and a little sandalwood. Acidity fully integrated and a lovely roundness. Beautiful.
