Domaine Leduc-Frouin Anjou cabernet franc 2014.
What you would expect from a Loire cab franc. Loads of sweet green bell pepper and underripe red fruits with a touch of oak on the nose. The tannins hold onto your tongue and the acidity begs you to take another sip. The wine is a little thin but would be better with meat.

A lively Anjou. Pitched in the correct style. Some earth and leather and briar patch. Tart fruit is a little underplayed. Great texture, zippy and firm.

Took a bit to evolve but ended incredibly dry, but good. Floral, violet nose, jammy and fruit finish, cabernet like but more perfumed with slight smoke and underbrush notes. Started somewhat one dimensional, ripe red fruit, raspberry, blackberry, but the palate was somewhat ashy and very tannic, drying out the palate despite the fruit. Spicy though, and very enjoyable. Begging for savory foods.

Dry and light finish, floral almost sweet nose, with bright, tart, peppery notes on the tongue. I used half a glass to reduce the remnants of the rib eye i was preparing and the resulting pan sauce and mushrooms were most excellent

Very earthy wine. Notes of ginseng root, licorice root, and dried shiitake mushrooms. Soft to medium tannins and medium acidity. Very complex wine for the price.
