Completely uncivilized. But what else would you expect from a 100% Grenache Chateauneuf. Predominantly stewed, roasted red fruit and scorched earth. Very grainy tannin and off the chart acidity. Needs several more years.

Gorgeous black licorice, stewed dark fruit, caramelized earth. Slightly sticky mouthfeel washed by prickly and persistent tannin. This one makes you stand at attention. Great length. Fine body. Delicious. Decant 2hr.

Color of light burgundy with purple note on the rim, just a bit hazy. Nose of attractive leather, fresh berries, seasoning spice, wet earthy note, and some hotness from alcohol, very much like a pleasant Pinot. Taste of nice sweet berries, strawberry ice cream, seducing round acidity, nice oaky note, grapefruit zest, a bit peppery, a bit oaky note, and good mouthful feeling. The wine is definitely catering for sweet teeth, but so polished, even I enjoy it. Aftertaste of nice grapefruit zest, pepper, woody oak, and residual of strawberry ice cream. What a wonderful taste experience. I almost want to say if you love strawberry, you will give her 10.

2011, smoky, earthy, elements of black licorice. Paired beautifully with polenta and eggplant ragu.
