Hard to get much out of smelling this thang. We nailed the call on medium plus body, we agreed on dry, noted acidity but nothing to write home about, tannins we thought were there but by no means overwhelming. Hints of black cherry and licorice. Kathleen noted fruit at first followed by some earthy stuff.

Bright berry fruit, lots of tannin and acid. Simple and rustic, enjoyable once it opens up, nice finish.
