Jul 17th, 202319 is so good at Boussey and this is maybe his best underdog great wine. Huge nose of mid to late season cherries that are perfectly ripe. Very pure. Smoke and spice abound. Plum. Very harmonious and floral. 9.5 nose. So good. Palate is classic Aloxe-Corton. Densely red fruited and sweetly tannic but with a sense of grace and elegance. Very long finish. Super mineral, refined and expressive. Also young. Excellent. Almost a 9.5.

Nov 17th, 2022Love this wine. This is a benchmark vintage here. Unreal nose. So layered. Cherry, black cherry, black berry, sous bois, earth, Moss, leaves, dried leaves, so so detailed and classic. Wow this is great. Palate is deep, rich and ripe with great energy and stuffed with fruit. Concentrated and super super sappy. Big structure and depth. Clean as a whistle with terrific cleansing acids. Love the structure here, the sweetness and the intense minerality. Long finish. Will age 15 years. Killer.

May 5th, 2020A great vintage for this wine. Nose is very grapey. Cherry skins. Mineral. Needs air to expand. Sweet fruit and lovey sap and structure. Powerful and deep like good Auxey can be. Nice earthy mineral finish with a sappy sour cherry hit. Really terrific fruit and freshness. Has that snap.

Mar 19th, 2020Stunning wine and shows why I love Aloxe. Insanely underrated. Deep and very complex nose. Huge spice and mineral. Flowers and big cherries with incredible depth. Huge fruit complexity and so pure. Deep fruit and amazing big tannins with such balance, grace and purity. This has an incredible finish that pumps the focused fruit to the back of your palate and just lingers eventually finishing mineral. This is terrific. Huge structure and grip.

Nose is super grapy. Palate is delicious. Rich juicy pinot fruit. A whisper of licorice and spice This is why vintage variation is a good thing in the right hands. Sometimes you want your burg to knock your socks off and just intravenously deliver pure pleasure bought from Fass selections.
