Les Prévolles Beaune Pinot Noir

Love this wine. Gritty, deadlifts more than me. Nose is funky but also deeply fruited. Lovely “sous bois.” A nose from yesteryear. Wild florals, wet earth, stanky black cherry. Big, deep, thick blackberry fruit on the palate. Suave and also rustic tannins full of black cherry and blackberry fruit. Fresh. Needs air but full of character and so damn good. Huge spice on the nose today. Heavenly. Big time Xmas spice. Palate is all silk and decadent fruit. Glorious.

Unreal nose of tweed jacket and cherries and spice. Really fragrant, juicy and concentrated with awesome grip and intensity. Super pure and sappy and amazing fruit and sweetness.

Great vintage for Boussey and this charmer of a wine. Expansive cherry and lovely dry, dusty earth on the nose and the fruit has a lipstick like intensity. Lovely, inviting and aromatic depth. Palate is silky, sweet and bursting with fresh cherries and lovely finesse and some good refinement for this level. Juicy and long with great fruit presence. Can’t ask for more in an under $30 Burgundy.

Checking in on some 18’s. Nose is soppy red cherries and tons of earth. Floral and complex with great breadth. Nifty little lieu-dit here. Palate is powerful, dense and tannic. But has a terrific core of fruit. Really gets to the back of the throat and love how the tannins are mineral inflected. Has the “broad” character of 2018 which will I think, like 1993, ultimately smooth out with age. More closed than last year but it’s all there. Will be back. Now with air it’s integrating more and sweetening up and the tannins are becoming more velvety.

Very serene zen nose. Mineral. Some mid-season cherry fruit. After 10 minutes the fruit aromatically erupts like a volcano. Strawberry and watermelon. Wow. Really great. Classic Beaune Prévoles tweed jacket as well. Just wafting aromas. Palate has ungodly 2018 fruit. Stunning purity and mouthfeel. Balance is magical. Refined and superbly elegant. Velvety tannins and very chewy. Long finish with a hint of rusticity. Pure. Lovely.

Love this cuvee from Boussey. Stunning nose. So elegant and pure. Haunting florals, cherries, floral and ripe but so detailed. Gorgeous. Licorice. Whirlwind. Great aromas. Juicy and sweet with lovely intensity. Great tannins and refined with a nice rustic hint on the finish. Excellent and compact.

Great wine and killer value. Mineral, spice and huge red cherries. Sense of deepness. Very aromatic and super mineral. Palate is generous and ripe with lovely focus and clarity. Terrific freshness and lovely fruit. Structure to burn and velvety tannins suggest this has 10-12 years. Wonderful wine.

Beautiful lieu dit from Beaune. Definitely needs a bit of time - after 2 hours in the decanter, the aromas are beautiful and leap from the glass. Would prefer to wait for a couple years, tannins are a bit chewy - but still very nice. Excellent pairing with turkey on thanksgiving number 2.

Nose is sexy Pinot noir fruit. High toned blackberry with some lovely spice. Really big and sexy my guess bc of the vintage. Palate is big juicy blackberry fruit. Really sweet and juicy and delicious. Just Palate is slammingly good. Bought from Fass selections. ... after an hour the internal aromatics are massive massively blackberry spice. Almost chewy. Wow. If you are ever down drink a bottle of this.

Nose: luscious cherry fruit. Pink roses lilacs. Out of the gate.

Palate: sweet sexy cherry fruit. Delicious. Balancing tart acidity.
