Domaine Latour-Giraud

Fresh and good clarity. Pear, slate, white flowers. Good minerality and a fresh salinity. Savory and cool. Good stuff

Dec 19th, 2021Limpid hi toned fruit. Lime, oily lemon, oyster shells. This has a rounded glycerin mouth feel and great polish and tone. Good balance. Very good.

Jun 8th, 2019A lovely limpid nose with lime, zesty acidity and hints of peach. On the palate a lovely minerality, precision and good fruit. Quite floral and a touch exotic. Very good.

Mar 23rd, 2019Young. A very zesty lemon curd nose with a bright slatey mineral spine. Rounded edges on the midpalate (malolactic?). A long and sexy finish with real zip. A polished wine full of life.

Jan 27th, 2019Elegance well beyond its youth. Shows a deft hand with oak and beautiful textures.

Oct 4th, 2021Heady rich and complex aromatics: cinema buttered popcorn, orange citrus oil, ripe mushroom, sweet baking spices. Rich tongue coating palate has all that plus warmed buttered and spiced nuts, sweet orange rind, candied lemon slice, lemon pie, fresh dill, ripe white nectarine, nectarine stone, wet river stone. Thankful to see a touch of green in the honeyed golden hues, because the ripe developed notes and lack of Puligny acid precision hinted at premox initially. Perhaps not a long life ahead instead, but beautiful now.
