Les Blanchots Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

The 2019 Chablis Les Blanchots Grand Cru is very well defined on the nose, where sea spray and oyster shell notes combine with citrus aromas. Hints of green olive emerge with time. The well-defined palate is taut on the entry, with hints of chai tea and chamomile infusing the white peach and citrus notes, and builds nicely toward a very composed finish. Superb. Zippy line of acid from start to finish. Chalk and flint for days. Great Chablis.

Beautifully ripe golden apple, asian pear, kiss of quince. Zippy ripe citrus, orchard blossoms, crushed rocks and salt. A lot of presence on the finish and back palate. The wine has lift coupled with leesy weight

Concentrated with finesse. Ripe autumn fruit with minerality and salinity on the finish. Surprisingly powerful even for a Grand Cru Chablis.

Domaine Laroche don't do beer, but if they did it would probably be the best beer in the world.

East facing, pure limestone, strong winds create a beautifully intense minerality. Great concentration yet finesse. 3 or 4 yr used oak for minimal wood but still oxygenation. Finished in stainless steel. 3k btl production.

Crisp apple. Full mid palate. Lacking in acidity but good balance.

Chablis never bores me ....:)

Not as opulent as Blanchots can be, quite closed. Good breed on the palate, but in its dumb phase.
