Fresh and textural with the laser-like Labet acid cut - 2014

Chardonnay & Melon le Rouge Queue. Unfortunately slightly corked, but the richness and balance shone through very clearly

first time to drink something from labet, like it a lot! really fresh but quite structured wine

Citrusy, makes your mouth pucker in a good way, wine. Nice minerality. Just a touch of barnyard.

A great Jura made a la Bourgogne

Wish I had more time with it. Extremely minty, high acid, honey. More Burgundian than many of his other bottlings

A side of Chardonnay I love...toffee backed by salinity and minerality. Reminds me of Kevin Kelley's Heintz Chardonnays, supremely endearing.

Les Champs Rouge is a blend of Chardonnay & Melon à Queue Rouge (a grape that possibly evolved from Chardonnay in the Jura. It's not the same at all I guess they are cousins and has reddish stems) It has been open since Friday afternoon.
