Some cherry, wild raspberry, blackberry. Hint of tartness. Medium tannins. Good strong finish that lingers. Very good without food, but should be excellent with food.

Big mouthfeel; rich Grenache. Opens with big fruit, some spice on finish. Shorter finish than expected. Wine night - 9/19/17.

Mineral metallic smell-- bitter fruit with a mildly tannic finish. Needs time in the glass to soften.

Talk about brooding, this wine took two days to fully unwind. Deep, dark color in the glass. This inexpensive Rhone Zone gem; will wow the palates of the more discerning and veteran wine drinkers, while easily scaring away the uninitiated. A cuvée prestige blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. I thought that perhaps, the percentages were a bit skewed, considering its muscular profile. A smokey, meaty wine offering generous dark fruits, pasted over taught tannins from Domaine La Soumade in the Rasteau appellation.
